Contrary to assisted mode, the enemies in hardcore hit harder, and even change similar to the harder difficulties in The Evil Within. As someone who played RE4 many many years ago (the PC port, with the keyboard aiming and gimped controls) I'm not sure whether I should play the game on Normal or Hardcore.
Other than the brutal beginning, the game is actually perfectly manageable on Hardcore.
HOW TO GET S+ RANK in RESIDENT EVIL 4 REMAKE
If this is your first time playing Resident Evil 4, you should choose the Standard difficulty. Soren Apr 7, 2023 @ 2:46pm. Standard is said to be too easy, which creates narrative dissonance (it's supposed to feel like a survival horror game, after all). Playthrough two on hardcore is often times legitimately not fun. I had a blast on my first playthrough on standard. In Hardcore, if you keep getting hit/miss shots, you do more damage/take less/enemies are less aggressive. Assisted.
You’re gonna be running through both very fast.
