Late 40s here. Picking up women has never been easier. No intent to brag just how things change with life experience. Younger men are often poor communicators and are surprisingly timid around women or people in general. Flip the script on women, ask yourself, is this woman good enough for me? What is needed is a better discussion about sex and relationships. Pornography has become the problem it is because of religions historic attitudes towards women in particular. The sixties did allow a shift in sexual mores which may have had its negative consequences but has also allowed for a greater appreciation of relationships across the board. A return to religious prudery is not only a bad idea, but it is also not going to happen. You can't put people back in a puritanical cage. Education, dialogue, appreciation, empathy and healthy humour are what is needed. All of this can easily achieved without religious opportunism that seeks any means possible to recruit young people into their diminishing folds. Young people are far better these days at appropriate relational behaviour than in my day, and we should respect them more for that. Religion has no place in this process. It has already shown itself to have failed abysmally in promoting healthy attitudes and values where young people are concerned.
