I love this because, when I was a kid, People assumed that the fact that my family did wholesome things like performing dance and music meant I wasn’t abused. The fact that someone is involved in things in the community in no way means that there is no abuse. That’s part of why I didn’t like people saying Kelly wasn’t really abused because her family appeared to have done some normal things. I believe that when young victims tell a lopsidedly negative version of their life it’s often because they know they won’t be believed if they say they also we’re taking shopping or camping or to soccer while they were abused, but this scenario is just as common as the parents being uninvolved or mean all the time.

The worst show of all time by far is Baby Mind Reader, where alleged psychic Derek Ogilvie claims that he can read a baby's mind and in one episode says that a young mothers unruly baby remembers her mother being beaten up by her abusive ex boyfriend and starts acting as the baby being upset at mummy being beaten up. The mother covers her face and is clearly mortified with this secret being brought up in such a way.
