I think Feldman was obsessed with Corey Haim. Corey Haim was everything that Feldman wanted to be, but he was always in Haim's shadow. He was very manipulative and because he couldn't get attention on his own merits, he pressured Corey Haim to continue on with the whole The Two Coreys and The Lost Boys money machines, all the while knowing full well that behind the scenes Corey Haim was falling apart & needed to be in rehab instead of out partying every night. Anything to keep up the image and keep the paychecks rolling in to the Feldman Mansion. What a great friend Feldman was to Haim. See a friend in trouble and use it against them, guilting him into continuing appearances and promotions with him, constantly partying in nightclubs til all hours of the night even knowing that his friend Haim was dangerously close to the edge and this was the last thing he needed to be doing. With friends like that, who needs enemies? I live on the East Coast and I could see from here that Haim was crumbling and with every subsequent photo that came out, he looked even worse for the wear. If you truly love your friend, you move Heaven and Earth to try and help them. You don't give up unless or until they do. And you only give up then because it's the only choice you have. I believe that all of the past abuses that Haim had endured were just too much for him to bare. He had told Feldman this before (on that short lived reality show on VH1). Sadly, I can't help but wonder if Haim ended up being collateral damage. Hollywood saw him as a weak link. As a victim of child sex abuse, he knew too much and his penchant for drugs/alcohol made him dangerous. Dangerous enough to be shushed? Or maybe just go with an old stand by method and ruin him in the public eye so everyone believes he has gone crazy, as they have been told to believe.The very last thing he needed was his Frenemie Feldman by his side, along with endless supplies of liquid and/or pharmaceutical refreshments /women, along with any other vice that could be used against him. Feldman wasn't looking out for his friend, he was all about looking out for himself.

Thanks for sharing this preview. Both Almodovar and Hawke are among my favorite film stars. I loved Parallel Mothers and have enjoyed many of Almodovar's previous films. I think he just keeps getting better as does Hawke who was amazing in First Reformed.

Her story overall is tragic. This whole interview montage with updates has definitely given many of us an inside look into how society fails miserably over and over. I don't believe for a minute that she has custody of her children, but I believe she loves them. She herself is a child, intellectual and emotional growth stops the minute you begin using drugs, and combined with the trauma her life has been and still is I'm so surprised to still see any kind of genuineness in her at all, but I do see it. I believe Mark sees it to...it's going to take a lot for her to change her lifestyle but there's nothing wrong with rooting for her no matter what happens.
