I need you to inform you on racial trauma. The trauma falls on black people mostly. We are constantly looking for ways to heal ourselves only to be set back when we see events of injustice unfold on t.v. The only ones who can even have a remote understanding of our trauma are those who are White allies. And I'm not just talking about overnight allies. I'm talking about real White allies who could actually picture themselves being born black. Because In fairness I can picture myself being born White or any other race. That's why I believe in a fairness to all of humanity and it's different cultures. But getting back to the racial trauma here in America. Trauma does not fall on the hands of the abuser or those who side with the abuser. Matter of fact you got black people who although their a small percentage of our community that call themselves conservatives. And the main reason they do that whether they admit it to themselves or not, is to side with the abuser as a means of lessening the trauma. Not to get political but I'm just pointing out when a White person declares themselves conservative they are siding with maintaining the power structure of White dominance. That is the root of it all no matter how much word play jargon and confusion they try to throw into the conversation. That is what it boils down to. I'm not saying liberals are any better because they do things wrong by Blacks also. Benign neglect being one of them. It's hard to have this conversation and avoid the politics of it and it's not that I want to bring the politics into it. Because I don't consider myself liberal or conservative. I just consider myself a Black man.....A straight traditionalist Black man. Sometimes I'm working class sometimes I'm up a class depending on how my stocks go, lol.
