I just installed the NexiGo N60 FHD Webcam that I purchased from Amazon a few minutes ago. Connectivity was easy and simple via a USB port. I believe it's rated at USB 2.0 as all the USB 3.0 plugs and ports I see have a blue color to them. As far as picture quality goes, I have done some video conferencing via Skype (very rare that I have though) from numerous embedded webcams such as from the front-facing webcam on a BlackBerry Q10 Smartphone, a fairly recent version of an iPad 32GB (maybe a few years old), and from a few laptop embedded cams. Before this, the only USB add-on type of webcam I have ever owned was back in the early 2000-2004 era which was on an Intel USB webcam and I believe (if I'm not mistaken) it came with software. From first glance when I opened up the camera / video recording app on a Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit machine I am as impressed as this guy on video above with the funky beard (kudos on the goat beard - I've had facial hair before but never grew anything that long... longest was a beard or a go-t that was maybe a couple inches long... shaved it off because I look younger without it and can attract more women - not that I'm vain or anything because the best thing about an attraction is the humanity and life-force that's inside somebody). Anyhow, yeah, I'm as impressed as this guy. The picture is clean and pretty good. I have seen expensive webcams and high-tech stuff out there but I'm a bit of believer that the newest things aren't always the best choice for everyone - just like not everyone likes to eat liver and onions for supper (EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!) If you, the reader/readers are looking for a decent quality camera that can output 1080p and be of good quality, this is definitely one of the choices you may want to consider. However If you are a fan of those add-on software bundles that's included in some webcams, pass this up (unless you know of any decent software application like GIMP, Photoshop, etc. that suit your needs). I'd assume a decent 1080p webcam with the software bundle would sell for 69.99 give or take depending on the quality. This is a great webcam and it comes with one of those flip-type privacy covers that you can close when not in use if you suffer from paranoia or schizophrenia or something like that (no disrespect to people whom do have problems like that - I fell in love with / became friends with a person or few with personal problems and enjoyed their company - more or less... the bad days and nights are rough, but it takes balls to stick around someone for an extended period of time for the sake of friendship and love). Anyway, yeah, there is a privacy flip cover that's seems pretty durable and all that. There are two lights - both not too distractingly bright on either side of the camera lens. Facing the camera, on the right is the red light and a green is on the left. The red light has stayed on since I plugged the camera in and I assume that's the indicator that the camera as power and is connected properly. When I open Skype or the native camera / video software that comes with Windows 8.1 Pro x64, the green light turns on and is apparently an indicator that the device is filming or ready to take a photo from your chosen photo software. It's a bit cloudy and overcast here so it's still bright out, but if you will give me a second, I'll pull my mini blinds down to darken the room and offer my opinion on if the lights will be too bright at night ... I'd have to say neither are distracting at all and are of similar dim illumination that those old-school red digital clock radios gave off that have the auto-dim feature. Also, staring at a 24 screen that I picked up new at a Wal-Mart for $99 bucks (DVI and VGA inputs only, no HDMI) the lights are not even noticeable because the screen is where my focus is - again, another comment on the illumination of the webcam lights. Some disturbingly bright lights would be visible but this is not. As far as the mounting clip goes, it's great. It's fully adjustable and has a small rectangular padded / soft area that rests on the back of a monitor and the camera itself is adjustable by a central pivoting point. Between the two adjustments it will capture a nice view of of your background so if your in your bedroom with a ton of dirty clothes and if your bed's not made, don't skype your parents from college saying hello because you may get chewed out real bad for being a slob college kid - lol. I just took a brief look at the rear of the camera from behind the monitor. If your installation will be, for example, a principals office where a student and their parents are seated behind the desk, the rear of the camera is not an eye-sore and pleasant / professional looking in my opinion. With the proper cable management ties or Velcro straps tied to your monitors power cord and video cable and into that grommet-hole thing some desks have it really looks decent all around - so yeah, it's got a very nice shape and design as well. I'm not too sure of what else to say. I guess some sort of software package would have been nice to be included that could control the end-users adjustments like the two lights on the front (but they are handy from a troubleshooters point of view). Again, if your looking for those software bundles that you can manipulate your selfie webcam photo and put it into some kind of neat looking digital picture frame or touch up your pictures, etc then look for a webcam that has software bundled with it. However, if your main intention is using a webcam to skype with or have relations with your sweetie whom is away for the week visiting their sick father and you can't go because you have to take care of the kids or something like that, this is an excellent choice. Oh, as with all cameras and webcams, you'll want to have adequate lighting / backlighting and all that but this camera really des a good job at producing a clear picture with all the lights off in this room and with only 2 windows open on a gloomy and cloudy day - really. I just took a photo of myself with no adjustments to my native camera app that comes win 8.1 and the file size is roughly 1/2 MB. Not sure if that's relevant or not, but as mentioned, this camera does a great job of capturing a good image and video for basic use like skyping or taking a selfie to use as a way to impress a friend or a stranger (or perhaps to frighten them if them if they skype you in the morning when you still have bedhead (have not combed your hair - if you have any). I hope this review was helpful for those whom may be considering this device and hope some of the small talk helped those of you whom are in need of a laugh from time to time.
