Well, the problem is that it's not so simple for me. Ever since the war in Ukraine started, my mental health spiraled down to an almost suicidal level. My pmo addiction worsened by tenfold, and even basic self-care and hygiene became a thing of the past. My friends however are doing just fine, and all I hear is seek professional help / focus on what you can control / stop watching news, and I've already tried all of these things, but no amount of therapy or antidepressants seems to help. I've become absolutely disfunctional and can't bring myself to make any progress in life, just because I don't feel it's worth it. Do I actually believe that the end of humanity is near? Not really, but I certainly feel that way. And this feeling is very real. Climate change is scary. Nuclear war is frightening. AI is terrifying.
