DH speaks to his parents about 5 times a week. They do this so that they can properly 'launch', themselves into the adult world and become independent. You handle it by carrying on as normal.

I don’t really want to give her money, (I feel like I’m handing out money most of the time) and I don’t really want to buy her jewellery (likely to loose it), so I’m thinking of maybe .Boundaries have to become your new best friend. It is not normal for your parents to treat you this way, and it's definitely not okay. Nothing is ever, ever their fault.
