so i downloaded wicked whims... (PLAY SIMS WITH ME)
Additionally, there are setting in the WickedWhims mod that sort-of ignore the Male/Female tag in animations, meaning two male sims or two female sims can use any animation, regardless of its tag.
If anyone is still searching like I was I've linked a couple of places I've found decent wlw animations on loverslab.
