I'm a girl, love video games but I never call myself a gamer. Too many years of men belittling our choice in games, saying we're not real gamers no matter what. A woman can be immortal in valorant and they'll demean her saying she had to have been carried. I've never used voicechat in games, probably never will. Bad interactions I've had in discord servers cemented that.

Sarah coming out with the texts gave Alexa Nikolas the push to talk about Jonah Hill sexually assaulting her, forcibly kissing her at a party when she was underage and he was in his 20s. Which also brought up another actor who lived with Justin Long who held that party (and the other actor who was dating her underage friend at the time). All that to say, especially when it comes to public figures behaving predatorily or abusive behind the scenes it's important for people to shed light on that to give others the courage to come forward. I don't think it's unexpected for her to leak these when he's having a kid and has this therapy healed me image publicly these days. These messages are from 1-2 years ago, recent behaviour. The idea that people should maybe privately deal with abusive people/behaviour, especially when the person doing that is a public figure presenting a different image -- doesn't sit right with me.
