It's no mystery that you will feel more fatigued nearing the end of the gym session. Some of this is from the depletion of glycogen in the muscle but also from lactic acid buildup, and our muscles can't contract effectively at low pH. Taking beta-alanine can neutralize the pH and delay the muscle fatigue, meaning we can train the same amount with more quality or perhaps with even more volume. Repeated increase in volume of training should effectively lead to synthesis of muscle over time. Putting aside the far extreme strength trainers taking 5+ min rest per sets taking multiple hours to complete their workouts, I would think that majority of the weight lifters who train at fairly high intensity can see the benefit of taking beta-alanine.
