In Thai, the word man simply refers to a straight man, as simple as that, not that they don't consider gays as men, it's just how the language works, and joong made that comment in Thai, as a Thai. New Thitipoom once said in an interview (in Thai of course) that he isn't gay because he's a real man (Basically saying he's straight), and he is not being degrading or what not, just emphazing that he's a straight man. I'm so glad not many people saw that video, else he'll just end up in some really hot soup. People should go do some cultural research rather than assuming all languages in the world works the same way.
