To misquote Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, There are horns and then there are HORNS. (She used the word tuxedos.) If you have the room for them, and few people do, a well designed, large horn speaker (I've never heard a really great speaker that wasn't large) can reproduce sound , and soundstage, so effortlessly you can't believe it. I can play mine with a few hundred milliwatts of Class A single ended triode power. What I have a hard time adjusting to is dynamic drivers, stuffed into a box, and driven with hundreds of watts of Class AB, or D, power. I always hear the box. Disclaimer: I have not used a box speaker as my primary source since the early 1980's.
