Lo que cuentas es totalmente cierto. Yo llegué a Estados Unidos soltero para estudiar una Maestría y la mayoría de chicas de mi salón de clases ya estaba comprometidas o casadas y las pocas que quedaban libres no eran para nada las que ves en las películas del cine... el sobrepeso es fuerte en USA ya después terminé y trabajé en una empresa multinacional donde también fue algo parecido, en resumen cada historia es diferente y si puede aparecer tu media manzana , pero mayormente si se fijan mucho en quien eres. I had something like this happen to me. I am a gay man and I was 23years old, I was working as a waiter and I had 2 customers and they were very nice at first and then they asked me if I was single and I said no I have a boyfriend. And the look of disgust on their face sent shivers down my spine and they were extremely rude to me the rest of the time and were mocking the way I spoke etc. and I brought them their bill and when I went to grab it and they had already left. And I opened the book the bill was in and there was a note in their that they left with the money and it had homophobic slurs and it said the only tip you will be getting is from your boyfriend. And I had never had something like this happen to me and I was at the table reading it I started to tear up and the table next to where I was saw this and called me over and they said did they leave you a note, we saw them writing something and I said yes and started to cry and the husband got up and hugged me and the other customers that were in my section asked what was going on and the wife explained and said that table had been so rude to me and they wanted to say something but were nervous that would have made it worse. Which I understand and about 10 minutes I went to that table gave them their bill and when I came back they left me a $100 tip on the receipt slip, and then their was. $150 in cash and they left a note saying that every customer in my section pitched in and they all agreed I was an amazing waiter, very polite, respectful, and they very much enjoyed me. I was totally blown away. And every table that chipped in for the cash also left me another tip with their bills as well. I was so touched and it really made my day.

I used to live in Ct. But because of long winters, high cost of living ,high taxes with boring places nothing to do, I moved to South. Best thing I did in my life.
