Heard it hurts like a bitch as an adult, but you should be ok, I wouldn't worry, just be prepared to be miserable for a bit. They prescribed me water-soluble codeine/acetaminophen to use as needed every 4 hours, an antibiotic for the first 5 days, cortisone for the first 3 days, a throat spray 2x daily, and ….
