As a Social Services worker, the stories I hear and read, are appalling. I have to separate my personal feelings from my work, as a mom….it’s a struggle. The adults that ignore the inappropriate behavior girls and boys are exposed to by their own family is disgusting. Where is the village? These kids are preyed upon and it sickens me. I have to check my biases every day, the only reason I continue to do this work is for the children, they don’t have a voice. I had a mother tell me her daughter seduced her b/f. I wanted to kick her head off her shoulders. As sick as it sounds, it happens more often than not. People will get out and protest for animals, but not for children. I digress
