Being attracted to a trans woman is very normal for most straight men. To that end, I disagree with Pastor Bob's citation-less contention that watching trans porn is the result of watching too much porn, or that it's more hardcore than other types of porn. We're people, just like everyone else, and we are just as diverse in appearance and personality as everyone else. The grand majority (I'd say 90%) of the men who are attracted to me identify as straight, just like the majority of the women who are attracted to me identify as gay (the rest identify as bisexual or pansexual - virtually no gay man or straight woman is attracted to me). The amount of men that privately confide to me that they are attracted to me but would never admit it in public leads me to believe that far less heterosexual men find a woman's transness to be a turn-off than the media or polite society wants to believe, but that the stigma of being attracted to transgender people forces them into a world of questioning themselves and their sexuality - and eventually, self loathing or repression. Often, this appears as violence against gay and transgender people. I get the question does this make me gay all the time, and the answer is no. I understand how this can be hard to believe for a lot of men, because our society constantly reinforces that trans women are men, that we're jokes, that we're delusional and disgusting and un-Christian and perverted and all that. Our society also lambasts men as gay for anything from wearing pink to enjoying prostate stimulation to crying - to actually being gay, as if that's bad or abnormal. I'd highly recommend watching the Disclosure documentary on Netflix to see a breakdown of how our media has negatively influenced public perception of trans people. I know some of the producers and contributors and they're all amazing people.
