Another excellent presentation. One point I might stress for older adults (>40?) who have been desk bound for the last 20 years or so - your flexibility / range of motion will likely have regressed since your teenage years. Ballet is an ATHLETIC movement and trying to copy positions without proper form (correct muscles engaged) will lead to much frustration and possible injury. Not being able to engage the correct muscles is almost always a flexibility issue. And re-establishing that flexibility can take significant time. A muscle not exercised in 20 years will NOT magically have a full range of movement with 20 minutes of stretching. Think weeks and months, possibly years.
