Dang, I really feel this in my soul. I had a party when I was a kid, and I invited everyone from the class to my parent's house for it (no one was expected to bring gifts or food, just to show up and spend time with us). Unfortunately we didn't have social media, so it wasn't like my mom could ask for people to come over and my extended family was on the opposite side of the US, so it wasn't like they were going to show. Glad to hear that, despite them being strangers, people arrived and spent time with this precious little girl. Hope it was a joyful time for her and that she has many great birthdays going forward.
