Thats common of others taking credit for your hard work and ideas. Happened to me at the Men's Wearhouse during prom season. By the numbers of rentals, we didn't have the number of staff to handle it. I was the Assistant Manager, the Manager was a coward and too afraid to speak up to the upper management we needed help. So i had to do it, and of course upper management was like, what's the big deal. Yup, District and Regional Manager did not care saying I was overreacting 🙄. I took my complaints to corporate about our situation. Corporate sent some of their own people because they couldn't believe what I was saying and had to see for themselves. The Manager and District Manager took vacation on the day of the event😡. Corporate asked where are they, why are they not here to assist, especially the manager. I had before hand created a blue print on how we were going to handle the number of rentals being rented that day. Being an Army veteran, I designed our people into a platoon, breaking them down into squads and into teams. I swear, if i hadnt acted, we would have been royaly screwed. My team with corporate's assistance, we were at our store close to midnight. No one took a break, we ate slices of pizza while assisting the customers, it was non stop crazy. End of the day, we were all hurting. The manager and District manager were never held responsible for neglecting their posts and over a year I was transferred to another location and to my disgust, the District manager and Regional manager gave that lazy coward all the credit😡. How does one get credit for not coming up with an idea let alone not being there to assist🤦🏾‍♂️. Anyway, stay strong and stay safe everyone. There are crooks everywhere.
