I've sailed the seven seas and been around the world twice on an aircraft carrier in the navy. The most dangerous water I've ever been on is lake Erie. It's very huge and very shallow. Storms kick up in an instant and the choppy waves have resulted in many a shipwreck over the years. Back in the seventies we took our 28ft. Chris craft from Gibraltar mi. To put-in-bay Ohio and had to turn back because of a quickly approaching storm. We were tossed around like a cork, I've never seen my dad so worried as the whole family was aboard. We luckily made it back to boblo island in canada and waited it out a day then made it across. Very unpredictable waters.
